While I have an actual post to make sooner or later (a couple days ago was one year since I had my gastric bypass surgery), I've been having a hard time getting an actual post out. So for now, some random things:

Who knew cats like watermelon?

And even better: Amazon.com is starting to offer one hour delivery from restaurants! If that starts up in this area, I'll be nearly to the point of spending my money no where else.

You know our area already has a local restaurant delivery service in Waiter.com, right? I've used them in the past, less frequently since they made some modifications to their service over a decade ago and I started to eat out less, but they're decent. Plus their office is right next door to mine. :P

I knew they and other places existed, but last I checked (which admittedly was a long, long ago), the delivery fee and minimum orders were both too high to make it a reasonable option for me. It's possible the same issue might happen with Amazon, but I have faith it might be within range of working for me.

Though, like you said, I eat out a lot less, so it's semi-moot.

Agreed! Those cats have good taste.

Cats can't taste sweetness, just as pandas can't taste umami. So I wonder what they get out of licking it. Just for the liquid, or are they tasting something we don't?

Huh! I guess it must be the moisture, or maybe the texture is interesting to them...

Now I feel compelled to get some watermelon and see if the cats will eat it. I assume the dogs will. They love honeydew and cantaloupe. The cats have sniffed around those two, but haven't eaten it.

And that's cool about amazon food delivery. I wish anyplace would deliver here. The price you pay for living in the middle of nowhere...

Agreed. Now I want to have watermelon, just so I can see if my cat would like it.

Hopefully one day Amazon will expand everywhere! One day...

That would be so amazing. I hope to one day get a drone delivery of any kind!
