My recs for webcomics are few and far between. For me to recommend something, both the art and the storyline have to hook me, and it's rare that one succeeds at both. I've only recommended two or three webcomics in the thirteen or so years I've been writing this blog, and this one is on par with those.

Age of Mortality is one of the few that hits every single note right for me.

I can't say enough good things about the art -- I spent so much time admiring each page.

There are some really interesting character designs as well:

(Though there are dragons and people who change into animals, it is not a furry comic.)

Kai, the dark haired one, is my favorite. :)

The one small (yet painful!) downside is that it's still in progress. I want more more MORE pages right now!

There's so much I love about this comic, so many little details I enjoyed (even things like the choice of font!). I hope you all will enjoy it too.

That does look interesting. I really admire people that can keep cranking out quality web comic pages. It is a lot of hard work, and we get to enjoy it for free!

Agreed! I'm always amazed and touched that there's so much great art out there that artists do for free.

Man, webcomics. I backed Abby Howard's Kickstarter to let her do The Last Halloween, and then ended up not following it. I guess I could start reading it now, it would be more like a regular comic since I wouldn't have to wait a week between each update <,<;;;

Yeah, that's how I like to do it best too: Find it when it's finished, then you can read the whole thing at once. Sometimes timing is just off for that though.

I think she's still updating it, but it's been going for like a year now (if not more), so tons to catch up on :D

I really do recommend her other webcomic, though. Junior Scientist Power Hour. There's no continuing story, each comic is like a quirky life observation. Her humour is just spot on, I've had lots of laughs reading through her archives :D

Thanks! I'll check her other one out. :)
