A method to my madness
Sep. 30th, 2002 12:52 pmOkay, so maybe I'm not insane on the kittylitter issue.
Went to Petco. A 28 pound container was on sale for $10. Each container has a "bonus" three pounds in it. So 31 pounds for about $10.
Grocery store: $8.99 for a 10 pound box.
Hm.
31 pounds for $10 or 10 pounds for $9? Same brand (Scoop Away -- the best, IMO). 21 extra pounds for an extra $1.
I bought three containers.
I now have 93 pounds of kittylitter in my trunk.
...Maybe I still have issues.
On a totally different topic, I think either I have bad In&Out luck, or they've started to suck. I've gone three times in the past three or so months, and every time I go I get not-good food. Went today and my burger not only tasted "off", it was only a single when I had ordered a double. (And of course I was back to work before I discovered this.) Even their strawberry shakes, which I used to say I would have ordered as my final meal, isn't really all that great anymore. Seems just overly sweet now, not even very strawberry-y. Not to mention, it takes *30 minutes* to get through their drive-through at lunchtime...
Cross 'em off my list of places to eat.
