Escape from Russia!
Dec. 11th, 2002 08:11 amIt was too good to be true. Two nights of good (if too short) sleep, then last night back to the usual pattern: Couldn't fall asleep, couldn't stay asleep, when I did finally sleep some I had a nightmare, then I woke up early and despite being exhausted, couldn't go back to sleep.
My nightmare was that I was part of a spy team in Russia. One by one my team got captured or killed (more often the latter), and too soon I was the only one left. I needed to get out of the country if I was going to stay alive, but I couldn't. Then somehow I got some little kid I needed to protect and take with me, and it was all messy and stuff. I ended up sneaking onto an airplane and getting out, but then they caught me once I got into the US.
The reason for my short sleep this week is that I'm almost done with the GoF HP book. It took me longer to get into this one than the last few, but now that I'm nearing the end I'm really enjoying it. Last night I had to stop reading at a cliffhanger, I was just too tired to continue. (I'm one chapter past Cedric and Harry grabbing the cup, Harry's in a very sticky situation.) I have theories on how Harry will survive this time, but I hope (as in the other books) that the writer proves me wrong.
