99 Cents is a High Price to Pay
Jan. 10th, 2003 08:29 amForgetting that I had leftovers from dinner with Mallen and Tersa, and remembering that Burger King was doing 99 cents Whoppers, I decided to grab one for dinner. Hey, how could you go wrong with dinner for $.99?
By getting it at BK.
I don't know if something was bad or if the non-English speakers (who were pissed at me for coming to *their* BK and actually (get this!) wanting to order something to eat!) did something to the burger, but I was sick as a dog last night. In the bathroom till 1:30 in the morning, then about every 20 minutes for the rest of the night.
...And I had been complaining about only getting five hours of sleep a night since Sunday night! Silly me.
My stomach still feels icky. Gurgling sounds are not happy sounds. And I'm dead tired. I seriously thought about calling in sick, but I took a sick day between Christmas and New Years, and that was my one sick day to take for two years. Ha ha. (We get zero sick days, so I never take them. If you stay home because you're sick, it comes out of your 10 vacation/sick/whatever days a year.)
