Tuesday (Not Wednesday) Morning Rambling

I wrote another 100 word HP story last night.
Hermione,
By now you know I'm dead. Don't be sad, it had to happen.
Please do this for me:
Find Mrs. Norris, tell her I won't be seeing her tonight. Tell her I've always loved her the most of all.
Tell McGonagall how sexy she is when she's a cat – tell her to spend less time as a human! Tell her I loved her more than the others.
Know Millicent's cat? The hot little black one? Tell her she's always been my favorite.
Find Michael, Ravenclaw. Tell his cat (Mittens) how she was the only one for me.

Ah, for the first time, I actually had to cut a ton from one of these little stories. I had a leading sentence, something like 'Getting a letter from your cat would usually be a shocking thing, but not when your cat is Crookshanks', which I was going to use to justify the whole cat/letter issue, but I needed the words elsewhere. I had a whole 'nother section about Crookshanks liking being owned by Hermione because he got to see her undress and such, but that made it way, way over (like 160 words). I wasn't so bothered by cutting that as I was by removing the lead sentence; Crookshanks leering at naked Hermione probably would have changed the mood of the whole thing.

hp100 group is really working out pretty darned well. The first week we had a good number of folks, and the number has seemingly doubled every week since then. This week we have a ton of stories, must be a few hundred of them in a day. I have to resist talking to a few people though... A couple of folks will post four stories in a row, each with its own post, instead of posting them all in one post and behind a cut. Spammy. It's not my group though, and so I'm resisting making the suggestion to them. I tend to get in trouble if I don't resist things like that -- I'm so used to my word being Law on my MUSH, that it gets my back up if someone elsewhere doesn't listen to me. So, if I'm good, I just don't say anything to begin with.
Funny how long a post can get, when you started out not having anything to say.
