I find it ironic that my job used to be to keep "bad" sites out of search engines, to live by the "guilty until proven innocent" anti-spammer code... and now I'm on the other side and being kept out by that.
I knew when I picked my domain name that hot-hot-hot-catlove.com would give me trouble with the search engines. I knew from working for the one that I did, that hyphens in a domain name dooms you. You *might* get in with one hyphen, but with three of them? Especially when three of the four words in the name were 'hot'?
I've watched my webstats since I set the site up (I love watching my stats, I really need better hobbies). The spiders of all the major search engines have come crawling by long ago, but I'm not appearing in any indexes. Google was the first one to come by, and it's the only one I really want to be in, but they're not listing me.
I knew this would happen, but it still sucks. (And yeah, I could write to support and make my case, but even in the Good Times, the times when there were actually support people to deal with these things, it was an uphill and likely hopeless battle.) I still like the name I picked, even though no one else will ever find it...
