I see a pattern forming...
May. 13th, 2003 09:18 amSunday night: 4 hours of sleep
Last night: 2 hours at the very most
Can't function, can't function, can't function.
On the plus side, if the pattern of the last zillion or so weeks holds true, then tomorrow night or the next night I'll be so exhausted I'll sleep the night through.
This is really silly though. There is no reason for me to have so much stress it keeps me awake. I'm not jobless, I'm not homeless. I don't have hardly any caffeine/chocolate in the evening or at night. Yet I lie awake at night, eyes wide open, *on edge*, just waiting for something to happen. What? Mr. Neighbor to cut through the wall and steal my cat? A car to come crashing through my bedroom? UFOs to land on my nightstand?
Dear Brain,
Nighttime is for sleeping. It's dark and it's quiet. We're not at war; there's no reason to have a hair trigger when you're supposed to be sleeping. Let's work together and clear this up, okay?
Thanks,
Thistle
