Long shot: MOO help?

thistlechaserAnyone out there know anything about MOOs? Bastard crack-smoking child of a MUCK and an insane man who comes up to try to wash your windshield with his scuzzy rag, leaving it more dirty than it was before, then asking for money for his work.
At the moment I'm trying to find if there's:
1) Something like @aconnect.
2) Some sort of command or code I can set that acts like a MUSH's @adesc command -- emits you a message when someone looks at you.
3) If there's something like @emit (without a name needed) at all. I want to @emit myself something on a regular basis. 'think' acts like +ooc/an OOC comm channel. How crack-smoking is that?
After four years of flying through MUSH code and commands, being able to do whatever I want before I even think about it, now I'm suddenly stumbling over the most basic commands. It's highly frustrating and unpleasantly humbling.
