Trends that need stomping out

hpart group, people have been submitting HP/boy band pictures. Gah gah gah. What's wrong with you people? Ron/N'sync (sync? spelling? I'm *not* going to do a search to confirm it), and this morning it's Wood/Backstreet Boys. I don't mind crossovers in general, but please stop mixing HP with utter crap. Thanks.
Today's Harry Potter-a-day calendar has Neville on it. His whole character gets a one sentence summary: Neville Longbottom is a Gryffindor who doesn't have a very good memory. Bah. Lazy calendar makers.
Oh, and my
hp100 story for the week. I never thought I'd write about Gregory Goyle... The challenge was to write about something O.W.L. related.
Title: Under Pressure, Weak Links Break
House: Slytherin
Word Count: 100
Characters: Gregory Goyle.
Hours of forced attempts to study. Endless hard-to-read notes. Twitch. Books, so many books! Now it's test-time twitchtwitch, and the Great Hall is quiet around Gregory Goyle.
The exam started a half-hour ago, but Goyle's test is blank. What little he had learned has vanished. Twitch.
Unconsciously he starts folding the test. When finished, he leaps up, O.W.L. hat on his head and wand held like a sword. "Arrr! I be a pirate and pirates don't take no tests!" Then he fled out of the hall.
The proctors exchanged glances. At least this time the student kept his clothing on...
I had a dream last night that I was living in NY and decided to go to California to become a fireman. As if there wasn't enough wrong with that already (why cross the country to do it? Ha ha ha, I'm no where near in shape to be one. And did I mention that I've become skittish around fire?), the bus trip from NY to CA took a whole 11 hours, and that was with bathroom/food stops. Zoom! For all its oddness, it was still a nice dream. The other people on the bus (mostly guys, there were just one or two other girls) were really nice and we all sort of bonded together.
