Lunchy-Lunch Lunch
Aug. 29th, 2003 01:05 pmIn&Out (a small fast food chain here, with much-better-than-fast-food food).
Cheeseburger, fries, and a drink: $3.78 (I think, $3.something, anyway)
"Grilled cheese" (a cheeseburger without the burger, so cheese on a bun), fries, and a drink: $3.78.
They must be really, really happy when someone orders a "grilled cheese". (I keep putting it in quotes because it was really just cheese on a burger bun. Not melted or toasted or anything, just cheese between the buns.)
It was good enough to have now and then as a change, but no where near good enough for me to go 'OOOH! OOOH! I WANT!'. And what the heck is the deal with fries? I used to love fries, I used to eat them literally every day, but now they taste gross. This is my second time having them in the last month, and they just taste icky. I mean, not that I should complain about not wanting fries anymore, but... what's the deal?
I should try a baked potato and see if it tastes much different, but I suspect maybe it's more the frying process...
