How disappointing it is when a story with a good idea turns out to be crap.

I love reading stories/books/fics from animal POVs, so when I saw the listing for Animal Tales ("The animals of the HP characters get to talk out.") I saved it to check when I had time. Now yes, "talk out" is somewhat odd wording, but not so odd it made alarms in my head go off.

Having time today, I went to the URL. Skimmed through the header. Got to this:

Author notes: Hehehe if u like this chapter/ficlet then review it well review it even if u don't. I think the next animal will be crookshanks. I don't know tell me which one u want done and I'll attempt to write it

Bah. I'd leave a review mentioning that typing like that tends to drive off certain types of readers, but last time I did that, I got flamed to hell and back. It's such a sad thing, people accepting and defending such painful writing/typing/grammar.

Is when people type like that for things that're supposed to be professional. My mom's taking this medical class on blood thinners over the internet, right? And you need to type up your homework to send in. And half the freaking class doesn't bother to use capitalization, or proper punctuation... yet this is an actual school class? For adults?

I'm sixteen, and my typing/spelling/grammar is better than these peoples'. Is that pathetic or what?
