Butter Beer

How strange. Butter beer is a real thing. I thought it was made up.

This week's hp100 challenge is a repeat: Crossovers. I did a cross with Lion King. My original idea was to have Voldemort as Scar and the Death Eaters as the hyena troops singing and dancing across some canyon-type place, but 100 words were way, way too few. I ended up doing them as those LK characters in that little scene right before the singing and dancing breaks out.


Title: Be Prepared!

Word Count: 100
Characters: Voldemort, Avery, Rosier, and Wilkes (As Scar, Banzai, Shenzi, and Ed)
Crossover: Lion King (or more exactly: the Be Prepared song). I wanted a singing and dancing Voldemort and the Death Eaters, but 100 words aren't enough, so I dealt with the scene right before they start singing. Dialogue is paraphrased from the movie.

Avery, Rosier, and Wilkes are alone, grumbling:

"So powerful..."
"...and hairy..."
"...and stinky."
All together, "And man, is he uuuuugly!"

Voldemort appears, frowning. "Oh, surely I'm not that bad?"

The three are startled; Avery speaks, "Oh, Lord, it's just you!"
"We were afraid it was somebody important."
"Yeah, you know, like Dumbledore."

Voldemort scowls. "I see..."

Avery continues, "Now that's power."
Wilkes, "I just hear that name and I shudder."
Avery, slyly, "Dumbledore!"
He shivers and grins, then prods his fellow. "Do it again!"
"Dumbledore!"
"OoooOOooh!"
"Dumbledore! Dumbledore! Dumbledore!"
Wilkes doubles over, laughing.

Voldemort rubs his head. "I'm surrounded by idiots."
