(I saw a picture of Gavin Newsom on the news the other day. He's one attractive man!)

San Francisco activists are asking people throughout the country (and the world, for that matter) to send e-mails of thanks to San Francisco's mayor, Gavin Newsom, for his courage in performing marriages for same sex couples.

Apparently, the mayor's office is being flooded with hate mail. Time to counteract the messages of hate with our messages of appreciation: gavin.newsom@sfgov.org

Edit: Don't want to send an e-mail? Send flowers, a telegram, a late valentine, or a collage. Call and sing to him. Fax an outline of your hand.

Edit2: The above edit isn't by me, Thistle. This one is: I don't think faxing would be a great idea, as faxes do cost the person receiving them money, as well as clog up their works and further block business-related faxes. The other ideas sound great though!
