This little essay is very, very amusing. While it's about maxipads, men shouldn't run away from it. It's not graphic at all, and it's more about body size and image than pads, and it's really really funny. I'm going to be running around saying "Teeny-weeny vageeny!" all day!
On related note, I feel like
fealu_bryne and I'm really annoyed. This is the second week in a row that I haven't lost any weight. In fact, I gained a pound. Why? Why? Why? I eat no sweets, not one single cookie, candy, or sugary thing. Almost nothing I eat is fried. Heck, I don't hardly eat at all! 1-2 meals a day are fruit! Last night dinner was three breadsticks! I don't eat meat, so it's not like I'm eating fatty burgers or something. I walk 4-5 times a week! (But I highly doubt the walking (a mile, about 20 minutes/day) is enough to be building up any sort of muscles which would counteract any fat-weight loss.)
Bah. It's depressing. How could you be doing everything right, and still not be seeing results? It has to be one of two things: Either I'm taking in more calories than I'm aware of (unless I'm eating in my sleep, I'd be surprised if it was this one), or it's some sort of water-retaining issue. Dinner on Monday night was mega-salty, but you'd think by Wednesday morning that wouldn't be on the radar any longer...

FFXI: Last night was good. I got a ride to Windy (I "paid" for it, or at least I tried to. I /shout'ed the usual offer of 500g for the ride, and someone accepted. He took me and five other folks to the various crags. Before we left I tried to trade with him so I could pay him before we went, but he didn't accept the trade. Once we arrived I tried to trade again, but he vanished to the next crag. I /tell'ed him, but he didn't reply. Oh well! Twist my arm, I'll accept that free ride!). In Windy I passed the cooking test (*yawn*), then tried fishing for the 30-something level fish there. The speed was no different than the great catfish in Sandy, so I decided to go back home. (Before I left, I put all seven of the salmon subs (item for the first cooking test) on auction. As of this morning, all but two sold! Woo!)
I changed into monk (a level 1 job for me) and ran outside. Surprisingly, I had a hard time dying! Even without a weapon and no armor other than the fishing stuff, I killed and killed and killed! It was fun! I nearly leveled up, too! I never sat down and healed, and yet still I made ~450 XP before dying. I just may have to try that again!
Back in Sandy, I fished for a while, cooking bait as needed (yay a return to skilling up while cooking!). A little party almost formed with my LS friends, but it turned out I was a lower level black mage than I had recalled (8), so I was really too low level for them. But nicely, they power-leveled me up to 9! (Still too low for the party, but yay anyway! I needed to get to 9 so it'd be the right level for my subjob!)
After that I mostly just puttered around, vaguely cooking and grumping at the idiot AOLers. "lol!" "lmao!" Gods above, I miss being the headwiz of a MUSH. A day doesn't go by on FFXI that I don't want to smite some idiot.
All in all, it was a good night... even if dinner was only breadsticks. I'm starving this morning, but I'm sticking to fruit and just a couple nuts. I feel like a deer or something.
