zzzz (FFXI again)

Another busy day. Feels like I didn't have a weekend, which is kind of sad, but so much good and exciting stuff happened!

Since I've not gone XPing in nearly two weeks (Edit: Going with the Chip/Niala/etc static doesn't count, since they're LS people), I figured I should. I put my flag up and went farming for vines so I could do the solo ENM BC later today. When I had half the vines I needed I got an invite, so I accepted it and trotted off to the Bay.

I could say 'it was the best party ever', but that would only be true in one way: The XP was the best XP I've ever gotten in a normal party. We got nearly 22K in, um... about four hours? Maybe five hours? Whatever, it was very very long, but good XP. Unfortunately some of the people were real Problem Children and I nearly booted one from the party. (The NIN tank kept pulling on his own, and used /shout to call a BST names. Sure, no XP party likes a BST working in the same area, but you do NOT start a fight over /shout about it. Plus he was bossy and bitchy and such.) Unfortunately the party had to break when I finally left (2 PM and I hadn't even had breakfast yet) since there were no replacements seeking.

After that I did the solo ENM (Pulling the Strings) again! The mini-Maat fight! Love doing that so much, wish I could do it more than once a week. Lost the first bet to get in, so paid a total of 22K gil to get into the BC. :( I used the least hi-pots ever though (3). I'm really getting down the rythem of how the fight has to go.

The rolls were unexciting this time:
1-4) Something that didn't write to my log. (I really wonder what those are and why they don't display when other results do...)
5) Mannequin's TP increased to 300%! Bah.
6) My TP increased to 115%.

I go in, eat a taco (def/tanking food), use blink band and haste belt, Absorb-VIT, Bio II, then we start swinging. I use my 2 hour as soon as my HP starts falling, and Guillotine when I can. Drink hi-pots as needed. That same plan has given me four wins of my four tries! (Thinking while editing: Or is this three wins of three tries? I think it's four, but maybe it's three.) Yay! I got another of those worm mulch things for the win, I can make little worm belts that sell for about 20K with it!

Since I hit scythe skill 250 during XP, I went and picked up my scythe of trials and then Merlee, me, and various others skilled for the rest of the night. The trial weapons is halfway cleared! Yay! (It'll be good that both Merlee and I will need the scythe WS mob killed at the same time, because it's going to be a pain to get to and I'd hate for people to go just for me. It's in Den of Rancor... I hope the GS mob is in a better place, I'm going to do that one next.)

Oh, and one last thing: I got to use my great (aptly named!) sword in XP for the first time today! I broke 1K damage a number of times, all without Souleater or Last Resort! Yay! *smooches Spinning Slash* The only problem is that I have to be very, very careful to make sure the TA is lined up correctly. Me getting hate from a 1K WS is a bad, bad, bad thing. {Death} {You can have this.}

Now tomorrow it's back to work, and it actually feels like a break from all the "work" this weekend. :P I must, must, must pick up Eco and Escort after work, since I didn't have time to do it today.

Oh, and did I mention I hit 71? Heeheehee. People keep asking me how it feels to be a highbie, but I'm so not one! It'd be rather silly to think I could ever be one! /blush
