Rrrr. How insane was I to decide against going? The first ever HP con! So what if it's in Florida in the summertime, at the peak of Disney World visits? It's the first HP con! I'm pouring over the posted photos, kicking myself nonstop. Someone should have shook me and told me to go! I've not taken a vacation (other than time off when the mother-unit comes to visit) in more than three years. I could have done this. *sniffle*

They have a (drool, drool) dealers' room. I love shopping; dealers' rooms are my favorite parts of cons. I could have worn the Slytherin scarf [livejournal.com profile] tersa is knitting me.

Oh well...

Despite my envy-whining, I'm actually having a rocking night. Stopped at Target on the way home, and discovered they have a snack counter with popcorn! Popcorn is one of my most favorite foods, and is the main reason why I go to the movies on the few occasions I go (last time was to see Chamber of Secrets). I was planning on going to the movies tomorrow, but now that I've gotten my popcorn fix, that plan is over. Going to hit the Japanese market instead to pick up more stuff to test on myself.

I had the best dinner tonight: Popcorn (hot from the popper, much better than microwave popcorn), Mrs. Fields cookies (mmm, chocolate!), and cold Diet Coke. I know it's not a good-for-me meal, but it's not a common thing so it's okay.

I've slept well all week, too. Plus, we have a half-day at work tomorrow. Can't ask for more from life than that, huh? (Other than the whole Nimbus thing...)

Target rocks.

Is there anything that store doesn't have? *happy sigh*

And I have to agree on the popcorn issue. Nothing is better than fresh hot-air-popped popcorn. Yum. Yum, yum, yum, yum, yum.

Okay. Now I'm hungry...

Exactly! I went for a new answering machine and snowcone syrup (how dissimilar items can you get?) and they had both... and a ton of stuff more. Got a lot more than I intended. Love shopping, love it!

Snow cone syrup and an answering machine... that is an eclectic list. But the question with Target is always: How many MORE things than just what you went in to buy did you actually leave the store with?

As it happens, I just got back from Target myself, but my shopping experience was less cheery than yours. The power was out on that side of town, and it's hard to shop for makeup and haircolor in the dark!

Was there an accident or rolling blackouts? And that would make shopping for makeup and hair color a challenge, yes!

Quite a few (three bags full plus one of those packs of a kazillion rolls of TP), but my bill came to only $40 and change for everything, so there's no way in heck I can complain! I was expecting to pay about that just for the answering machine!

I'll kick you to go next time. :)

As for the scarf...you couldn't have worn it, yet, as it's not done! But otherwise. :)

(This will hopefully be rectified now that I have finished the cross-stitch project I've been working on since February that was for a birthday in May, and because I will finally decide tonight if the needles I need for it must be ordered online, or if I will have them in my hot little hands to start working on it in earnest... :)

Snicker, yeah, I did realize that. :) I figured if I had intended to go I would have asked if you could have put a rush on it... but it's moot either way.

If you need to order them (or buy some off-line) either poke me and I'll order them for you, or hit me up next time we see each other and I'll pay you back for them.
