We're now hitting the 12 hour mark of me blowing my nose once per minute (or more often!). I've sneezed so much today my nose and tongue are bleeding (bit my tongue a bunch of times), sneezing a couple times every half-hour. All my joints hurt. I have a fever.

Can't even call in sick tomorrow, though I am going in late. (Cat goes to the vet for her cardiac ultrasound in the morning.)

Maybe I'll recover overnight.

Thistle the red-nosed sick person, had a very runny nose...

Nyquil. Take Nyquil and Dayquil. The taste is awful, but they do help. Much sympathy! Summer colds are the worst.

Thanks. I'm too tired to go get some tonight, but I'm planning a stop before or after the vet visit. (Before if I can, so I don't sneeze on the doctors.)

Hmmmm...

I have regular allergies and am a year-round nose-blower, but the only time I've had body-wracking sneezes and tremendously watery nose, it has been a sinus infection. You should probably see a doctor. A sinus infection with that kind of watery drainage can sooner or later drain into the lungs, and then you'll have a bronchial infection.

Been there, done that, you don't want to go there.

The oddest thing: While I was sick as a dog yesterday, I got ten hours sleep last night (!! That's like double my normal amount), and I felt like a living human being this morning. Not perfect, but my head was no longer draining and I didn't *feel* sick. And now, after half the day, I'm just seriously thirsty and not feeling bad at all. (I know you should drink when you're sick, but I just didn't want to yesterday at all.)

Thanks for the advice though! If all that had continued, I would probably be headed to the doctor's sooner or later.

Okay. Well, I'm certainly glad you're feeling better. Keep an eye on it and if it returns, I'd definitely see a doc about it. Sinus infections are bad, mkay?

And yeah. Drinking has amazing effects on a person, healthy or sick. I just recently started working to put down two liters of pure water a day and avoiding all the coke, shakes, milk, sweet stuff I'd been pouring down my throat.

Having made no other changes to my diet, I feel astonishingly more energetic (I'd have thought less so, giving up all those ready carbs and calories!) and inclined towards activity.
