FFXI: Fishing

thistlechaserI made my last post before reading my flist, wandering FFXI boards, or really seeing anyone else's opinion on the new stuff. Now that I have seen what others have been saying, I can pinpoint those who like the new changes:
People with no attention span. People who hadn't been willing to put the time/effort into fishing before. "Thank you, SE! I gained 58482750257023 skill in negative time! I like fishing now!" That really pisses me off. Fishing had been something where your massive amount of time invested paid off, and now? New fishers can flood the market and get fast skillups with little time invested. The children have been catered to.
Everyone who had put major time/money/effort into fishing before the patch? Well, maybe now the fishing guild can join the leathercrafting guild in using the motto "Bend over and enjoy it, bitch".
Ha ha. I feel so disgruntled. I need to stop caring about fishing, really.
