Super! Toilet! Super toilet!
Jul. 29th, 2003 07:04 pmAnyone who has read my LJ a while will probably know that I've been pretty darned dissatisfied with my super. She doesn't live in this complex, she lives across the street. You leave her VM and never hear back. Etc. So when I had a problem today, I unhappily called her. Happily I learned that she was no longer our super, now we had one over here in this complex!
(I do *not* believe that this change was made out of the kindness of the owner's heart. California law says you need a super on site if you have over X units. We have over X units. I believe he was finally caught. Oh, and sometime I'll post about our pool having been shut down by the health department last year for "not being fit for human use". Luckily I never use public pools...)
So anyway, this new chick is keen. She loves cats, and her apartment is right across from mine (so our bedroom windows face each other across a walkway). Our cats sit and look at each other for hours at a time. No meowing, no moving, just sitting and staring...
Anyway, back to the toilet! (Wow, what a line...) Mine broke this morning (the seat came totally off), so I called her at lunchtime and got the new super's number. Not only did the new super-chick get the repar guy here, she called me twice and then came over to make sure he came and did the work. Wow! What a difference! And here I had visions of having only hovering-toilet-use for days. (I hate hovering!)
So now I have a toilet I can sit on again! Aren't you happy for me?
