Whenever I make a grumpy post (about anything, not just FFXI), an hour or two later I always want to delete it. :P I don't like being grumpy, I'd rather be happy and perky, but sometimes stuff just gets to me.
Today's grand total came out to 11 hours of seeking. Number of party invites: 0.
But looking at the positive side of the day, I got my GS up to nearly 160. (Or was it just over that? Maybe 163...) Hating GS so much, hating it hating it hating it. It's worse that I'm going to have to pay 160K+ for a GS (the cheapest reasonable one, the other two options are over a million each). Paying that much for something I don't even want makes me want to do violent things.
After that last post Ead and I joined a random keyhunting party going to that evil Castle whatever place (with all the demons). Ead got his key! Yay! I got a bunch of skillups and about 50% of the total drops. :P I have no idea how, but stuff just kept falling into my bag. Lotting, on the other hand, tended not to go so well:

zubis commented on Bib Bay's sky being different, and I had agreed. I caught sight of it being odd again, so took a screenshot of it. Turlos and the pretty/odd sky. I don't recall seeing sunsets like that elsewhere.
Hey, JP speaking folks: This tank we had kept sticking my name into his provoke macro. Was he trying to tell me/us something or was it a mistake? Do those squiggles mean anything?

I always have to tell people not to encourage me. Souleater + Guillotine may make for really nice (sexy!) numbers, but it's not a good thing to do. I almost never do it, but sometimes I give in:

So in that Castle B-Z-whatever, we battled endless demons. It wasn't until I looked through the screenshots that I saw something very, very odd. What the heck do demons have between their legs? o.O Sadly a DRK Test didn't drop while we were there. I was very much hoping one would, so I wouldn't have to bug people to go help me get one. :( Stupid game, making people need to bug others for so much help.
Now where have I seen that scythe before? From what I've read, people aren't sure she's a DRK? Buh? With that scythe? And man, I love them as characters! So much story potential! (Write more,
gbeans! ;) )
So while I'm still somewhat grumpy about the unfairness of 11 hours spent seeking without one invite (and how that is a trend, not just a single happening), I'm not all "fuck you FFXI" anymore. Maybe I'll be able to get more skilling in tomorrow, but I might not log on for part of the day.
The most worrying thing about my future in FFXI is that I'm becoming gun shy about making my own parties. The last three or four attempts have turned out really, really bad, and I'm just tired of putting up with crap from idiots (and being ignored or worse from JP players)... but if I don't make my own parties, I'll never get XP because I don't get invited to any parties. (I've gotten a grand total of two invites in two weeks, seeking parties six or more nights a week.) I'm almost sad that I love DRK so much, because if I didn't I'd level RDM so everyone would want me. That just sucks so so so so so much. (And now I'm getting depressed again, so let's end this and go to bed.)
