Zzzzz (Naruto, FFXI)
Jan. 28th, 2006 09:22 pmI think I must have missed last week's Naruto ep. What in the world could I have been doing so late that I missed it? Hmm. Hopefully Tivo has it recorded. Gaara's voice is pretty darned nice. This arc is going to be fun to watch. :) Ack, but dude! Rock Lee's voice is just horrible. Sheesh.

FFXI: Long long day. Sat seeking a party at a rather ungodly hour this morning, then got tired of waiting so made my own. It was nearly what I though must be the best party setup: NIN tank, all melees /NIN, SMN, me (RDM). I almost hit that dead-on, except one of the melees was /WAR instead of /NIN. Still went amazingly well though. Only myself and the SMN to refresh and neither of us ever got low on MP. I even got to melee! Eh, I mean miss endlessly. Went from 54 -> 55.
Took a break for lunch and about an hour later (watched Lost during this time, Charlie is a tad more interesting now, but not much) got another party. It had the DRG responsible for 5 of the last horrible parties, and even though he wasn't the leader I'm beginning to think he's some sort of bad luck charm. c.c Our THF used an AoE WS. In the Tree. Bunnies everywhere, and all out for our blood. Five of six party members died, me included. :( Luckily Beanie, Merlee, Woman, and Mako were XPing nearby, and Beanie R2ed us.
I was just way way too busy in this party, and for the first time in a long time my MP couldn't keep up. I had to MB on two SCs (we had no BLM), haste the NIN, refresh three people, we were dealing with crabs and crawlers so they needed endless dispelling, plus do a lot of backup healing. Unfortunately I'm, um, kind of... coming to dislike DRKs in my party. :( They take so much resource! I like to keep them hasted when possible, and when they use darned SE they drain my MP so badly! Bah. I guess I might have enjoyed the party more if I hadn't been so tired by this point.
Ended up dinging 56 in that party and got a nice buffer. Unfortunately I don't have my AF pants (56) yet, so was a little sad that I couldn't put those on.
Hopefully I'll hit 57 tomorrow...
It struck me that I've done nothing at all with RDM other than XP -- seriously, I've killed a grand total of four mobs outside of an XP party, so I decided to take it for a test drive tonight. Did a touch of farming and wow, it was surprisingly easy. I want to fool around with the job more later. (Need to skill sword/dagger so much more though. Need to find a skillup party.)
