mctabby made a funny as heck HP version of the slash hand signals I posted this morning. Here. Snape. The "Snape. It's all about Snape." one is still making me giggle.
2) Got my vacation time. Finally. After going back and forth with my boss, waiting (literally) a week for a reply to my email (because she forgot, as usual), I have my time off. It's not until November, but it's two weeks (which is nice). My mother will be here for the first week, and I'll have the second week to myself.
3)
Title: A Night Out on the Town
House: Slytherin
Word count: 100
Characters: Thestral
A/N: Touching on the fact that these wild creatures have no fear at going into a city.
"I told you, Wanda, there ain't no such thing as vampires!"
The East Street Red Cross's blood mobile was always busy on Monday nights.
"Then why'd Saturday's shift come up short?" Wanda replied as they waited for their next donor.
"Miscounted?" the other nurse guessed as she turned from the freshly drawn pints of blood.
Neither muggle woman saw the dragonesque horse head snaking in through the open door. When the Thestral's weight shifted the vehicle, the women blamed it on a passing truck. Neither spotted the pints of blood floating out the door.
Thestrals enjoyed their trips into London.
(And oh crap, there was a typo I missed in the original post. Bad Thistle!)
I think my HP100 page is probably behind in updates. I should work on that soon...
