thistlechaserRL: Worst Work Day Ever, and that's saying a hell of a lot. And that's all I'll say, too! It's the weekend, two whole days to forget today ever happened~! (Eh, there's no interesting story behind the day being bad, just a metric crapload of work.)
FFXI: Plan Skill Marksmanship started out rough but ended well. Since worms are good, I trotted off to Uleguerand Range to shoot Glacier Eaters there. As I have neither a map nor a sense of direction, it was annoying to get to 'camp' (a tunnel! any tunnel!) . Plus there were aggro bats (EP) in there with the worms (EP). Warped out without shooting a single bolt.
Besieged hit! Yay! Only a level two and I waited hours for it, but meh, had nothing else I really wanted to do. I was going to end the day after that (skilling seemed like more trouble than it's worth), but I decided to give it one more shot (ha ha).
Since I <3 Castle Oz, I went off there next. Jackpot! I got 10 levels of marksmanship fast. Unfortunately I also dropped a JP guy through a hole in the floor and he made angry squiggles at me, but that was a mistake! I even killed a few EPs, which on DRK is really cool. Nothing like spamming them with sleep bolts!
I'm wondering if this trick will work on Colibri (the lowest level ones, right outside the city). I can't solo those effectively at all, but I wonder if I could keep them asleep well with bolts? Skilling and XPing in one! I might try it over the weekend.
Very oddly, I haven't gotten a random XP invite on BRD in a full week now. I don't miss them at all but I'm wondering what happened. Fewer people XPing now? More BRDs suddenly around? I only did that joking/fooling around thing with three people, so it's not like I could have scared them all off yet. Oddness but yay!
