Surgeons in Beijing said on Thursday they had successfully operated on a baby born with a leg of her undeveloped twin protruding from her back after the third limb deprived her of nutrients she needed to live.

You know, I'm noticing a lot of conjoined twin issues in countries with pollution, poor sanitation, or other health issues.

That is so, so true. Doctor have found residual eyes, fingers, toes and arms from absorbed twins. I wrote a fanfic in which Severus was a twin who absorbed his sister in the womb, giving him all sorts of problems.
