TV, Tivo

I've not watched my Tivo stuff in at least a week, so I was going to catch up on it this morning. Then I saw that Mr. Holland's Opus was on, so I said eh and went to watch the movie instead. I had seen it many times before, but it's a great movie.

Darned cable company.

I'm supposed to get like 800 channels, all of them that are available (there was a special running when I signed up), but because of some problem in my neighborhood, the signal isn't strong enough to get a quarter of the channels. HBO is one I really miss, but Mr. Holland's Opus was on Starz and that doesn't come in either. Sigh. I need to call the darned company and cancel all these channels, since I can't even watch them anyway. Wonder if they'll let me just subscribe to HBO2 (which usually comes in) without HBO (which never does).

Tivo is full of Sagwa the Chinese Siamese Cat (about 40 eps, looks like. It catches two a day), and Pokemon (1-2 a day). A couple of Young Riders (old western show from maybe 10 years ago), a couple of Oz eps (watched while it recorded), a Good Eats (woo), and a pair of Samurai Jacks. I really haven't been watching much prime time TV in the last half-year or so, so it never really records much from that for me.
