(I never ever would have guessed that squid and other sea-things had red blood. I always thought it was white or clear or something...)

XD! all blood turns red when it hits oxygen.
if you bleed in the ocean, it'll turn a greenish blue until it hits the surface.

I thought of isiscolo too, which was funny, since I was at work. Actually made me a little sad, really, which is odd, as animals die in the wild every day. The strangeness of it all, I suppose.

Actually, there are some critters that have copper-based blood rather than iron, so it's blueish/greenish. It's been a while since I learned what, but it seems like it was crabs and things like that.
