WoW update!

thistlechaserSince everyone's busy with the new LFG instancing stuff and so not RPing, I have time to post!
The last few days have been very mount-y. I finally finished my rep with the Kirin Tor, so I was able to buy my mammoth at the cheapest price (16,000 gold). Woo vendor and repair guy with me all the time! There's just one highly (highly, heehee) annoying thing about the mount: It's so tall, I can't fit some places that mounts are permitted. Archways, getting into Dal's sewer area, so many places I have to dismount, pass through on foot, then remount. Very not-handy. (And I still like wolves better, but now I ride this thing all the time because it's rare. Heh.)
Speaking of rare mounts I really don't like... eventually the turbo flying machine annoyed me too much. I was in bed, trying to sleep, and decided I wanted a flying carpet. Less than 24 hours later... A whole new worrrrrld! and 426 tailoring. (Now I understand why WoW folks think engineering is hard! You can't do it in one day like tailoring. *ducks!* While I don't miss FFXI's hellish crafting system, it'd be nice if there was a happy medium between the two...)
Alas doing tailoring two days after paying 16K for the mammoth left me really, really broke. I can't remember the last time I had under 1K gold! (Then a nice guild person bought 5 frostweave bags and I went back over 1K, woowoo.)
A few days before the mammoth, I got a pet I had been really wanting. Lamb in wolf's belly. Lamb hangs out with you a few minutes, then wolf runs in, howls, and kills it! Ha ha. :D It's an Alliance jousting reward pet, so it was costly, but I snagged it at a not too bad price.
In non-buying things news, the oddest thing happens to me when I joust. Run away! I'm gonna blow! Every other day, as soon as I step off my mount, I glow blue. It lasts when I leave the area, hours and hours until I log out. Also, I figured I need to do jousting dailies for 110 more days. Gah! I have all the pets now, but I want all the mounts as well... (Eh, I might be forgetting one, if so add 15 more days!)
Lastly, this amused me endlessly:
Guild was talking about PvP, how to fight various classes one on one. I snorted at the lot of them and said I never fight anything one on one, just keep it sapped until others show up, then jump it as part of a group. :D
So that's about it in WoW news. I'm working on rep after rep, semi-working towards 75 pets and 100 mounts achievements. Have 68 pets and 67 mounts now.
