You know what'd be cool? Well, if FAP users, or HPFGU users could donate 5-10 bucks towards a pot of cash, all the money in which would be donated to the auction. If we won the walk on role, we could hold a drawing of some type in the fandom (for those who contributed) to see who'd get the honor.
But can you imagine the wank that would ensue if someone felt or suspected that the drawing was not entirely fair? I would contribute, just for the sake of the walk-on going to a fan instead of some random rich person who may or may not be as slavishly devoted to the whole HP phenomenon as I am, but really, I would also fear the wank. I'd donate with the caveat that I wouldn't even want to be in the drawing, because how could I justify going to England or Scotland for that anyway?
