The Cats trailer looks REALLY good. Nice use of CGI without any uncanny valley. I'm excited to see it!

It's interesting that it does for some people and doesn't for others. Some people are like you, can't look at it at all. For me it's like some kind of perfect blend that works just right. I'd think that on something like that, most people would match.

I almost wish they had done unknown actors. Seeing people I recognize, I can see where their real faces are and where the CGI melds and it looks off. I noticed that for the performers I don't know, it didn't bother me as much?

Plus, the usual complaint that these are either non-singers or pop singers and not broadway singers (well, except for James Corden LOL) so I'm skeptical they can do all the songs justice. Though I guess the Cats soundtrack isn't that crazy except for Memory. Who is grizabella?

Yeah, I'm with you there. It's a little odd to almost recognize the cats? Unknowns would be better. Except Idris Elba, he looks so good as a cat! I wish we could see more of him.

Google tells me "Jennifer Hudson, who's also starring in the film, will pay the role of Grizabella".

I love the set designs and the choreography...but the human cats are just too weird looking for me. I would have preferred actors in costumes like the musical.

Seems like I'm in the minority here, I LOVE the mix of human/cat. Like that they're all "naked" works for me, since it makes them look more cat-like to me (and on some level I know the actors are all wearing green body suits that are just being CGI'ed onto).

The choreography looks so good! It looks like there are going to be lots of different dance styles. I can't wait to see more.
