Dusty files -- old photo
Nov. 1st, 2003 06:30 pmWhile looking through an account I never use anymore, I noticed this picture:

It's my desktop from about ten years ago, maybe more.
loupnoir, you can see the icon in the trey and the button on the taskbar for that dictionary program. (Red book with a D on it.)
tersa and
juliansinger, check out the RL Garou people! The picture is from when I went to Boston to meet folks. I don't recall who they are now, but I do remember that we had a really fun time. :)
Yeah, I had to use AOL back then. I lived in the boondocks, and there weren't any ISPs in the area other than AOL. Plus, it was the first (at least in my area) to go to unlimited access instead of hourly, so even once other ISPs finally moved in, AOL was the best value.
It's funny to recall that all Internet access was expensive and hourly. I remember keeping a timer next to my desk so I wouldn't go over the 10 hours a week or however much we got. Some tiny little number.

Date: 2003-11-02 10:42 am (UTC)From left to right: Dylan (aka, in LJ terms, Callunav), Chaos (aka Heavenscalyx), Nigel (aka Oakenguy), Asraad (who AFAIK does not have an LJ), and I don't know who the person in the leather jacket might be, though I suspect it's Therru.
That's a sucky picture of Oaken, but Calluna's is pretty good. Her hair is really different now. (So sue me, I notice these things.)
