So cold, so cold

Our high today was 54 or so. It's 54 now, anyway. So cold! My California blood can't take this. I remember back in NY, never wearing a jacket or coat even when it was snowing. Somehow I wasn't cold then, but now I'm freezing even with the heat cranked up. I think I'll go take a hot shower after finishing this.

I started playing The Sims today, but it's not exactly like I thought it'd be. What a big group of complainers I have! I want food! I'm unhappy! I'm stressed! I can't look for a job, I'm too depressed! I'm thinking about killing them all off and starting over. If nothing else, I now know to give them all high neatness ratings. Damned slobs, this group is.

I started reading Wolves of the Calla (by Stephen King, the fifth Dark Tower book) today. Haven't gotten too far into it yet, but I'm liking it. He has such a way with "voices" -- not dialogue, but the whole tone of his writing. I really noticed it when reading his latest book of short stories -- each story had its own totally distinct voice. It's so cool, I wish I could do that.

I'm still behind in my LJ reading. Need to catch up on that today, as well as on some MUSH work. But first, hot shower time! Brrrrr. Need to thaw out. (Hush up, those of you in Alaska. :) )

What's really funny with the Sims is to stick six messy guys in one house. I tried that, and the house was invaded by cockroaches, etc....It was better and funnier than reality TV!

54 isn't all that cold, really. Heck, it's warmer than what we're getting up here in Ontario.

Brrrr! (And I also belatedly noticed that I was sick yesterday, which I think might explain why I was feeling the cold more.)

Hey, it's not like I like being cold much more than you do. I just have a greater tolerance for low temperatures or something.

And yeah, being sick would probably explain why you were feeling it more; hope you get better soon. :)
