100 CDs ...and a birthday card
Dec. 1st, 2003 01:14 pmThough (as ever) I vowed never to go to Fry's again, I needed blank CDs and a birthday card. Where else can you get electronics and birthday cards besides at Fry's? So off I went, and had a thankfully uneventful trip. I ended up with more CDs than I had intended (because they were on sale), but I'll eventually use them all, so it's good.
I also picked up something I had been shopping around online for: A softsided binder with sleeves (right word?) to hold the CDs in. One that held 120 CDs: $39.99. Same one, but held 240 CDs? $19.99. Scratching my head, I snatched up the second one. Can't wait to fill it up!
(By the way, I had to snicker at myself: I'm itching to get my anime moved onto CDs so that it'll be safe in case my harddrive crashes. Imagine! Of all the stuff on my computer, I'm worried most about that? Hee.)
Speaking about things I hate to admit but am admitting in this post: In a sick sort of way, I'm happy to be back to work. I hate the work itself and I'm bored out of my mind, but I like having somewhere I need to be in the morning. I like having noon arrive and that I'm required to go to lunch. I like knowing that when five comes, I'll leave and go home. My parents say this sort of thing comes from my "German blood", but I don't know about that. No one else in my family feels this way -- every single other member of my immediate family owns their own business or medical practice, I'm the *only* one who works for another company. I'm the only one who likes... "rigidness"? Right word for it? Structure. Schedules. Nothing feels better than having a schedule and sticking to it. Getting things done on time. Being efficient. (I feel so Percy-ish sometimes.)
And that concludes this afternoon's look into Thistle's head. Join us tomorrow, when we take a tour of her right arm and shoulder...

Your dominant hue is green. You're logical and steadfast, focused on figuring life out and doing what makes sense. You value being trusted because you know you're taking the time to figure things out and everyone should just follow you. Your saturation level is very high - you are all about getting things done. The world may think you work too hard but you have a lot to show for it, and it keeps you going. You shouldn't be afraid to lead people, because if you're doing it, it'll be done right. Your outlook on life is dark. You're generally a pessimist and everyone knows it; you're the one the come to when they don't want the sunshine blown around, they just want to straight truth. You can miss good things in life if you make up your mind too early though. |
