I listened to JPop tonight. I liked it. (Japanese guys are oh so sexy, as are the girls! I just wish they'd stop trying to look Western/American. That's silly and ruins it.)

Since I can never, ever sleep on Sunday nights, I took some of those "pain medicines that help you sleep" pills about a half-hour ago. I hope it works. I feel restless and anxious as hell. (I almost never do that, but tonight's worse than a lot of Sunday nights.)

Is this TV season worse than usual, or is it just me? I can get through an entire week without one single show I want to watch. Tonight I didn't feel like watching anime, so attempted to watch TV. What crap! Reruns at best, new junk at worst. I watched about an hour of the international channel, then when that turned to British news, I surfed. Ended up on the Titanic movie.

I think I'm a wimp or over-sensitive or something, but that movie really bothers me a lot. Not just because it's bad and the music makes my ears bleed, but because I (...brain fuzzy... sat here for minutes trying to think how I was planning on continuing that sentence) don't like all the screaming and watching the ship sink. I know those are all actors on the screen, but real people were in that situation, and real people died. How they can take a situation where so many people died in pain and fear and turn it into some sort of a love story is beyond me. It offends me.

Sometimes those OTC meds don't do anything at all, but it seems to be working tonight. I type without thinking about it, just think a thought and my fingers type it out on their own, but something in the communication lines is down and my fingers don't just automatically type things out on their own.

I'm glad it's only a three day week this wek. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday. And I'm happy I'm finding new anime LJ friends - and that my HP LJ friends haven't all run away yet because I babble on about new things now. (But you should try some of the things I like! If you can, I mean. If I like them, you probably will, too! I can help anyone who wants to know how to download them to learn!)

Babble, babble, babble. My fingers are cold. I'm going to bed.

Titanic the movie was intentionally emotionally manipulative, I think. I didn't like it, and I think that is why.

ITA. i've essentially quit watching except for ER, and as for that, i can take it or leave it. and after this season is over i'm pretty sure i'll quit watching it.

You're not the only one. I don't normally watch tv that much, but I haven't been able to stay focused on any shows at all this season. It's kind of disappointing.

The less I say about Titanic, the better. ^^

Ugh, Titantic. The romance itself (basically, the focus of the freaking thing) makes me ill and that's why I hate it so much. But my sister was watching it last night and I couldn't help but overhear/glimpse back every now and then...

I gotta admit. The set is incredible, gorgeously done, and some of the little side stories are just... heart-wrenching. You're right, they're just actors and actresses. But when you get beyond that and think that it actually happened, with real people... it's awful.

Don't like that movie.

Hur hur, whenever i get a computer that's actually able to run divx stuff I'm gonna hold you to that! ;p

I recommend 24 (on Fox) for network TV viewing. *g* Should be rerunning the first episode of the season tomorrow, so you won't be (too) lost. I have no idea what time it's on on the west coast.

Also, I started watching Smallville when Survivor finished (like I need at least a few hours of Network TV a week to feel "right" or something) and it's interesting but kind of... er, not the slashy subtext fest I heard it was. But that may be because in the 2.5 or so episodes I've seen Clark and Lex haven't even been in the same room together. *waits patiently since it's so full of Teh Pretty it would be a good hour spent even if everyone just stood there staring off into space*

I did try to watch 24 at one point, but I really couldn't get into it. When nothing else is on I'll sometimes leave it on in the background, but of course I'm usually totally lost on the storyline.

I've pondered trying to get into Smallville, mostly because I know there's good fanfic out there for it, but every time I see it I'm just "eh" about it...
