Eee! I love Whistle, and it really makes sense that I do:
Dear Boys is about basketball. I hate basketball, but I love the story and characters, and so I love the series.
Prince of Tennis is abouthockeytennis, and though that's one of the most boring sports in the world, I loved the story and characters, so I love the series.
Whistle is about soccer, and I love (love love) soccer, plus the characters and storyline look good so far, so it's a good match! I really love soccer (it's the only sport I'll willingly watch), and so this series grabbed me from the very first couple seconds. I love that "ole" chanting that they do, and the opening song added gym whistles and drums to that. Sound and felt great!
Perhaps I have a dirty mind, but the very first image you see as the opening song starts up made me blink and snicker and wonder if I had downloaded something ecchi by mistake. Naked co-ed soccer! Wow, outstanding ball-play! (Snicker. Okay, I understand what they were doing by showing it, but still!)

Continuing the trend from this morning, my neighbor stopped by tonight to give me some baked goods. I've only spoke to her maybe three times! I didn't have a gift or a card for her! So I felt stupid and just thanked her... Grr/sigh. I need to move into a cave where people can't find me anymore. What do normal people do? Keep a stock of generic gifts and blank cards so you can just give them out when you unexpectedly get a gift? How rude do I seem not to have a gift for her in return? I don't know hardly anything about her! I can't even usually remember her first name! Sigh...
And damn, I'm good! My cat just threw up a hairball. Usually I grab something like a newspaper to shove under her so it doesn't mess the carpet up, but there was nothing at hand and she was gaking stuff up NOW. So I grabbed just a normal, small square napkin and aimed her at it. Right on-target! Then she threw up a second time right away -- second napkin, second success! That's some talent: Puking cat aimer. :P
