Wow, this show rocks my socks! Finally, a new great series! Anyone know how many subbed eps there are? Is it 31, or are there more?

And, eh, a BT question. (I feel so silly not knowing this! I should be a pro at BT stuff!) Anyone have any clue how to make info like this into a link?

I know the first number is usually at the end of the URL, but how are you supposed to know the tracker that's being used? How can you download with just knowing those two things?

Also, I've seen two Hunter X Hunter OVAs. Are they subbed? And if so, are they spoiler-y for the non-subbed eps?

Yay! You're watching HxH! ^_^ I love that series to death. It's up there with Hikaru no Go and Naruto as my top favorite Shounen Jump titles. The OVAs are a direct sequel, in fact, they're really just additional episodes that they didn't squeeze into the tv series for some reason, so don't watch those until you're done with the series. There are 62 eps in the tv series, and two sets of OVAs (8 eps each) that continue the storyline from where it leaves off in ep 62. There's another OVA set coming out later this month, but apparently will be released only 2 eps at a time.

Yep, it's all subbed through the 2 OVA sets that are out. The TV series itself is pretty old. It began in 1999. You can get it all here (http://www.anime-share.com) (that's the same site as that other appleshare site I linked to you a while ago, just that they've moved and revamped, but I think you have to sign up again), or I've seen it here (http://crackrock.net/~box/tracker/index.php) as well.

Cool, thanks! I'm downloading more of them now. How was the quality of your later eps? Do you recall who did them? It looks like all mine from 20 on are done by AKU Fansubs, and they (to put it kindly) suck. The video is the lowest quality that I've encountered thus far. I've looked around, but for the later eps I can't find another group...

Actually, all of my episodes are of sub-par quality, a few of them really bad. I had gotten the entire tv series in a huge batch, and I'm not sure if it's because the series is old or what, because not only is the quality bad, but the episodes are mixed with several different subbers. I think the person who batched it probably wasn't concerned about being consistent with the subber. I personally like to stick to one group. The OVAs are better though, particularly the second set, as they're newer.

Yeah, I found the same with the big batch of them. For the first 20 eps there are good quality (as good as anything out now) copies from a group called... eh, anime-kees-something or other. Some group I hadn't heard of before (the kess-something was the Japanese word for cafe).

I'd rather stick with one group as well, but unfortunately it'll probably take that cafe group forever to get the rest of the series done.

:D You found Hunter X Hunter! I've seen the first 16 eps. Really good so far :D I think the Greed Island oavs come after the series..not sure.

Yay! I have 15 eps downloaded, and 16-20 are coming now. I see 21-31 are available, but in that strange format and not a clickable link...

I've only watched 1-5, but I'm loving it!
