When stress hits, I hide from RL people. This is the first time I've hid from online folks as well. Recognizing that I was doing that, I'm here and forcing a post. ...so, hi again!
Events over the last day, in no special order but in handy-dandy bullet form:
Well, I suppose that's enough of a list of stuff that happened in the past few days. Work is making me want to cry (and I have two weeks ahead of me of being alone there), and I'm at the point of being unable to even FAKE being happy and liking people there. That's a really, really bad place (mentally/emotionally) to be, especially with so much bad ahead of me.
Oh, walking. Let's see... A couple days ago I hurt my knee pretty badly (every time I took a step or even moved it, I heard a grinding/crunching noise). Next day it felt a little better, so I tried to walk. Realized I was being a fool, turned around and went home. Today it's nearly 100%, so I tried again. Much better. Injury was totally my own fault, as I knew I was increasing too much last week.
And now, for the screenshots!
So these two boys are talking about their masters, right? One asks the other to describe his:

I wish I could make screenshots in players other than Windows Media Player. I have a "nice" little clip about a pink teddybear who kills humans and has sex with them and eats them and such, but I'm failing in my efforts to get pictures.

- I watched Song of the South, mostly because I thought I should. "Historic beginning of animation greatness" or some such, plus I wanted to see if it really was racist or if people were just smoking crack. It showed how things must have been during slavery times, which is of course racist, but it was also the reality of that time. I really disliked how they had the black folks talk "Dem's dat don't do no thinkin' don' get no chittlins!", but I suppose that was normal for that time/location/level of society. I guess I could say that about a lot of the movie "I didn't like X, but I guess that's how it was at the time". Looking at it NOW, it seems seriously racist, but since it was set in that time, I don't know if you could label it that.
Also, I learned that 'bodacious' is apparently an old word. I thought it was created by teens in the 80's. - Prince of Tennis 123 raw made me happy. Apparently Kaidou finally got off his ass and decided just who he loved. *happy*
- Since I could hardly force myself through the first ten eps of it, I'm amazed that I'm now so into Peace Maker Kurogane. ...it's also becoming one of the most gay series in my collection, too. (No, that's not the reason I'm loving it... or at least I think not...). I'm really liking a number of the characters, especially the one who sings The Star-Spangled Banner all the time. Screenshots (not of the anime cowboy, of boys talking about their masters) after this list.
- Baja Fresh: I went there and got my free meal. Didn't much like it. I'm amazed I can say this but: I could have cooked it better myself. I did try sour cream for maybe the second time in my life, was unimpressed (cat loved it though). Didn't try the green stuff whose name I'm not going to look up the spelling of (guak-a-mol-e), skipped the salsa as it looked like nothing more than chunky tomato bits. Wouldn't go back again, even if they offered me another free meal.
- Don't laugh at me for this point, but: Tonight I realized that my head is empty. (Shush!) All during the last ten or twelve years of online RPing, I've had my various characters' voices in my head. They were always chatting at me, pointing out this and that, wanting to be written about, etc. Tonight I noticed I have no voices in my head but my own. It's so darned quiet, I don't know how I didn't notice the lack long ago...
- I have The Last Unicorn to watch this weekend, grabbed at the same time and for mostly the same reason as Song of the South. I recall seeing Unicorn in the theaters, but nothing about it. Hopefully it won't suck.
- I haven't watched any Witch Hunter Robin in a week or so; don't know why. Watching an ep or two of Full Moon wo Sagashite a night. Watched Naruto 73 tonight, loved it. (Without new Hunter x Hunter, I suppose Naruto is my current favorite. Really want new HxH though...)
- Read the JKR interview and lots of LJ posts about it. Felt my interest in HP stir, but i's hard to think about a fandom that has YEARS between new canon... Anime is so wonderful, we get new
crackcanon at least weekly. - You want to watch this little movie. Right click, save as. It's called The Cat With Hands. It's cool and icky and eeky and acky. Recommended!

Innuendo-filled and scary. I didn't get all the way through watching it before I turned it off to keep at least some of my childhood memories intact.

The clip will only play in one of my players, and it's one of those things when you hit printscreen then paste into Photoshop, that the pasted image will move and change when you play (or stop) the movie. I know how to get around that in Windows Media Player, but this other one is stumping me!
