In order of the subject line:

* Peace Maker Kurogane ep 22. Wow... Just wow... The animation was stunning (like a whole different series), but the story... gah. Once more I'm amazed at the level of violence that appears on Japanese primetime TV. Stuff we show on TV here is like Blue's Clues compared to them being an r-rated movie. Wow.

I sort of knew Souji was going to get killed (I got indirectly spoiled), but still... what an awful way to go! I did *not* need to hear the sound of ribs breaking from being stepped on. (I'm still glad they had the sound though, it made it more realistic and a whole lot more painful to watch.)

Boy, I love Suzu. Especially in 22, he reminds me so much of Haku (Naruto). *sniff* He better live in the end! I need some character I love to end up alive at the end of a series...

* Full Moon wo Sagashite - I like the series, I just wish I could watch more of it in a sitting. It's sort of like candy: It's too sweet for me to eat a bunch at once. I've been watching it for about two weeks now, and I'm only up to ep 13. At this rate, it'll take me forever to see all 52!

It did inspire a new rule that the world will be required to follow: Kindergartners should never, ever be drawn in a way that makes them seem attractive to adults! Thought I felt bad for lusting after teens? Ha! That's nothing compared to seeing a kindergartner and having your first thought be "mmm, wow, he's pretty sexy!". Gah. Dirty, dirty, I feel so dirty!

* My Gameshark arrived tonight (only three weeks after I ordered it!). It's only a CD... I thought it would be a device or something... Not only is it only a CD, would you believe the box it arrived in was three feet by three feet? Filled with those air pockets and newspaper and stuff... then the product packaging was so big and thick, I was sure there was something inside it... but nothing more than a CD.

This leads me to wonder if it's BT'able (and if I should have tried that angle before waiting weeks for it!). I don't know if *I* could make a rip from it (it's probably technically out of my league), but there are lots of people who are smarter than me about this stuff...

I don't know when I'll get to try it out. If not before, then this weekend.

* Walking. I got my pedometer the day before yesterday. I used yesterday as a control day to see how much more walking I needed to add. (They say you need to take 6,000 steps a day to be "healthy" and 10,000 a day if you're wanting to lose weight.) Yesterday I was under 6,000 by quite a bit, but no where near as badly as I thought I'd be. Today I did two things:

1) (Little thing) Increased my normal (non-exercise) walking as much as I could. Park far away, walk around the building when going to the bathroom, take the longer route whenever possible. (I don't know how long that'll last, as it's annoying to make everything take longer.)

2) I advanced my walking-exercise plan and went twice today. Surprisingly I felt nothing extra on the evening walk that I don't feel in the morning. I'm tired and hurt a little now (hours later), but nothing too bad. I'm going to see if I can stick with twice a day.

Both of those together still only put me barely over the 6,000 step mark. How annoying! However, I don't think there's much more I can do. Adding my intended third walk a day now would do a lot, but I'm not ready for that yet, so I guess for now I'll just have to stick around the 6,000 step range. Bah!

*carefully skipping spoilers for PMK* I've only seen up to 20, although I do know general spoilers for the series.

Hee. It's not just lust for young boys. It's young boys who are cartoon characters. ^.~ Yeah, I've gotten over that quite a while ago, so no qualms here.

10,000 steps sounds like a lot. ;.; How far is that anyway? Good luck with your walking routine, though. I'm glad you're still going strong. =)

*laughs* True, thanks! *snicker*

Well, it depends on how long your stride is. For me, it's about three miles (assuming I'm doing the math right!).

Three miles sounds like a lot of walking per day. ;.; I take small steps, so it'd probably be more than that for me.

It is! This morning while walking I was getting grumpy and thinking 'Man, we invented cars for a REASON! Why am I doing this?' Walking is so slow and inefficient! And boring, too. :p

I need a job at which I'm required to walk around all day! That'd make this easier.

I don't think Okita got killed; just gravely injured. Historically, he died from TB and not from sustaining injury during the Ikedaya incident.
