Tipping the balance
Mar. 21st, 2004 03:48 pmYears ago, back when I first got my Tivo, it went through a period of time thinking that I spoke Vietnamese. I didn't mind too much as it was a pretty language to listen to, so I'd let the recorded programs play in the background as I did other stuff.
Years went by, and eventually Tivo realized that I spoke English. Well, I must have thumbs-up'ed one too many anime shows, because now it thinks I speak Japanese. It's recording things like "Practical Business English" and "China Showbiz" (a show about China in Japanese!) for me.
I wonder how long it'll take for it to correct itself this time...
