The last two eps of the series were subtitled in a most horrible way. "Want" was spelled as "wan't" every single time -- and that was one of the more understandable spelling/grammar errors! So either that was responsible for me not understanding the ending or the ending was meant to be confusing.

Big honking spoilers back here. Don't read if you're intending to see the series or haven't finished it yet. )

Edit: Yesterday I grabbed movie called The Boy Who Saw The Wind, and posted saying that it was a Ghibli film that I hadn't even heard of... well that was for a reason. Turns out it's from a different production company, and whoever BTed it just added 'Ghibli' onto the file name. Just a FYI.

Years ago, back when I first got my Tivo, it went through a period of time thinking that I spoke Vietnamese. I didn't mind too much as it was a pretty language to listen to, so I'd let the recorded programs play in the background as I did other stuff.

Years went by, and eventually Tivo realized that I spoke English. Well, I must have thumbs-up'ed one too many anime shows, because now it thinks I speak Japanese. It's recording things like "Practical Business English" and "China Showbiz" (a show about China in Japanese!) for me.

I wonder how long it'll take for it to correct itself this time...
