Uncreative subject line, but I'm tired! Bah, work tomorrow... Don't want to deal with it, don't want to think about it.

I finally watched Naruto 77 tonight. Gah, poor Gaara! He looks much cooler now that he's more fully transformed. (So many thing downloaded! I need to watch more!)

Edit: Wow, Monster looks great! Watching the first ep now. Nice art, great music, love the style! Can't tell about the plot yet, but I bet it'll be good, too!

FFXI: A much better and more productive day today than yesterday. It started with [livejournal.com profile] loneguardian, myself, and (someone else whose name I forgot) changing jobs and going out and beating on things. The other person and I were level one, and [livejournal.com profile] loneguardian was higher level. Am I not very, very sexy as a warrior? (Though apparently I'm less smart than I am sexy -- who would wear armor with the middle of the chest bare?)

We did that for an hour or so, then I fished and dealt with egg stuff for a while. (Level 4 on fishing! Woo!) Sometime later Verity (whose LJ name I've forgotten) and I went out and killed things together. (She did much of the killing, I hit things a little and healed us.) I leveled up! Woo! 11! (Cure II, yay!) I need to get my macros into shape, plus try to figure out some way to let them grow as I get more spells...

Verity and I were out for an hour or so, then for most of the rest of the day I fished. Love fishing! Nice and peaceful and relaxing... and I'm starting to make money at it!

Since I leveled up, I was able to get new "armor"! Though the tunic looks similar to the old one, it's different, *plus* I got new boots and gloves! Woo! And next level I'll get a new weapon, too. Yay!

I did some random leveling up for an hour or two, and it went really well. I'm very happy to see that goblins are no longer any issue for me! Sometimes they can't even harm me at all! Woo! They terrorized me for so long, now I want to wipe out their whole race! Bwahahaha!

Last screenshot: Too bad it was dark out, but look how cool Dragoons look! So purple! I love it.

Yar. The artifact equipment being based on the classic job costumes is one of the neater touches of the game.

You have no idea how bad I want this game (and how far away a PS2 is for me)... Mrrrrr....

The more I read about your adventures, the more I think it sounds like the UOSSMUD with pretty pictures. *sigh* So pretty...

*flails*

What's UOSSMUD? And you know it can be played on the PC, right? That's how I play it! :)

And yes, it's very very very pretty! Wonderful, totally wonderful! (Not that I'm trying to tempt you or anything! No way! ;) )

The UOSSMUD is the UnOfficial SquareSoft MUD. Think Text RPG with other people. It has (well, maybe had, it's been a while) job system, partying, little quests... and a tendency to take ages to level up. Lotsa stuff that FFXI reminds me of.

And I know you can play it on PCs but... this comp is about seven years old. *g* I highly doubt a PII 266 can run it. *g* Someday, someday my precious....

Oh, cool! I guess it makes sense that there would be a SquareSoft-ish MUD out there.

And yeah on the computer. *sniff* Aww, well, maybe sooner or later!

:)

Verity is me! You're picking up the WHM job quite quickly. Thanks for healing me down in La Theine. We should do it again sometime!

Oh! This is you, okay!

And thank you! I need to look at my macros tonight when I get tired of killing stuff, so I can get those into better shape.

Stop beating yourself up about that! :) We tried! I was thinking about the fight while driving to work this morning; I think it was a good idea you said 'run!' on the party comm line, because I *think* I was standing there frozen, staring. Heh.

And yes! We should do it again sometime. It was fun!

Well, it was actually the orc that made me die. I was all set to Invincible when it added and nuked me twice. :)

Figuring out who gets to call 'Run away!' in a party is one of the key things for group success. Really, there are two people that have a say in the decision: whomever is pulling monsters (because they should know when they screw up a pull and get too much) and the healer (because they can tell whether or not they're able to keep up with the damage). In a good group, it's clear when the role moves from one player to another. I encourage you as a WHM to think of calling 'run!' as part of your job -- even more so once you have Raise.

Although, really, in most cases when people die, it's the WHM who dies first, after throwing Benediction. :)

Oh that's right, you did mention an orc. (That's another thing I need to work on, I'm watching the log and the HP levels the most, I have to give a little more attention to the battle animation. Technically I should be able to tell if something new entered the fight by watching the log, but the graphics are a good backup in case I miss it.)

Hm, that sounds like a good idea, yeah. Eee, this is so exciting! So many things to handle! :)

*laughs* That's not very comforting! Though not surprising, either. I've heard it a few times in a couple different places... and as much as I hate dying, if I'm going to go, that's a darned good way to go out. Maybe others would be able to survive and run.
