Yes, please!
Apr. 14th, 2004 03:53 pmI really need to play the older Final Fantasy games... Who is this person and why is he not in my bed yet?
---
I watched FMA 27 at lunch today. (I think 27 is the right ep number? Whichever was released yesterday.)
Killing a cat, that's just low! *sniff* And while I'm at lunch, too. I had to go back to work with tears in my eyes. Killing cats isn't fair, no one should be permitted to do that! Bad writers, bad. No cookies for you.
While the ep wasn't totally serious, at least it was much better than last week. Loved the last minutes of it, with the teacher first beating the boys (!!!) then hugging them. I just sat there with my jaw dropped, staring at the screen as they gave us the sounds of an adult beating two children. Man. That'd so never play here, but it worked.
Needs more Mustang, though if I can't have him, I wouldn't kick the teacher out of bed for eating crackers. Loved her hair, loved her attitude, loved her tattoo.
---
I ended up forgetting to eat breakfast (I had fruit, but I forgot that I hadn't eaten it yet and was surprised to see it still next to me when it was time to go to lunch). Oddly, I wasn't hungry for lunch, but I ate some peanut butter on toast because I hadn't eaten all day. Semi-hungry now, so I need to ponder dinner... Eating is such a pain. Seriously.
By the way, did you know that when you stop eating something, you apparently get more sensitive to that thing? Fruit now tastes sooooo sweet. Apples are like candy! Fruit used to be so blah and boring to me, but now it's like candy/a treat. Odd.
Edit: Tell me this isn't a Fruits Basket cake! Eeee!

Date: 2004-04-14 04:35 pm (UTC)Hmm, I understand your point, but I have to disagree with you. They've seen worse and done worse, but they are still kids. Just because they've taken worse before doesn't make it okay now. It's not like Ed flaunted it and said 'Ha ha! Look what I did!', he knew what he did was wrong. I understand why the teacher did it, but still disagree with it. (Heck, I'd disagree with it being done to an adult, too. Violence became an answer when?)

Date: 2004-04-14 04:44 pm (UTC)The graphics are very poor by today's standards. Strange polygonal people except during some of the FMVs. What might be an even bigger problems for you is the poor, crack-headed, plot-hole filled story, much of which doesn't make sense unless you're a 17-year-old boy who has sat around for hours trying to decipher the "hidden" meanings in the script.
Naturally, though, you can take what I say with a grain of salt, as the only game I hate worse than FFX is FFVIII. I've noticed that people who tend to like VII and VIII tend to like X, and vice versa, whereas old-school gamers like me and the geek prefer the older games.

Hush! I'm trying to forget that that ep exists.

Date: 2004-04-15 09:06 am (UTC)To be honest, I liked FFVII, didn't particularly enjoy VIII, (it was very unsatisfying and had *way* too many complicated side quests/play mechanics/story elements. Who the hell wants all those GFs? And why should it be so important to have them if you don't need them in the end?) sort of enjoyed IX, and wouldn't touch X with a ten foot pole.
Let it also be said that I'm old enough to have my own children and am undeniably female. ^_^
