The weekend, Trojan fun, anime, FFXI (but no screenshots!)

In the order of the subject line:

* The weekend has been a blur, and if I didn't have all next week off, I'd be a little upset that somehow it's all over without me feeling any different than I did on Friday night.

In checking my friends list today, I found 250 new posts. Ugh. I guess I've not checked it since ... Friday evening? I read through 150 of them, but still need to do the most current 100. I left a few comments on all the HP Sorting Hat drabbles, but not as many as I wanted to. You guys rocked with them! Such odd interesting challenge ideas, too.

I took a nap today! Exciting news? Maybe not for some, but I never nap unless I'm sick! But it was nice and snuggly in my bed, and I was tired from getting up too early (headache drove me out of bed), and my blankets were warm, and my cat was soft and purry... and I just fell asleep! Hee. :)

It was just raining hard here a moment ago, and it rained on and off yesterday as well. That's sooooo nice! We haven't gotten any rain here in a couple months. I went out and just stood in it today. :)

* Trojan pleasure: The sexual organ. Yes, it's that Trojan company. The link is work safe, unless you interact with it. I'm more amused by it than I really should be.

* I watched the first ep of Midori no Hibi, and liked it quite a bit. The main character reminds me of Kyo from Fruits Basket. I have the second ep downloaded and will likely watch it tonight before I return to the game.

Naruto 78: I think I'm still a week behind? Or maybe not. I liked the ep, but I'm getting so so so tired of nothing but fighting. How about we go back to a little plot? Characters interacting with something other than fists? Story? Bah...

I may have time for one more ep tonight, and it'll probably be either the new Kino no Tabi (9) or the new Twin Spica (9).

* FFXI: Black mage is surprisingly fun. NUKE THE MONSTER! (Stone-Blind-Poison-Stone-Stone-Stone) I leveled up to 5 today (then fricking DIED and leveled back down to 4, then re-leveled to 5. MUTTER.) Too many people are on tonight: Leveling isn't overly fun in general (Edit: More like 'in general' when I'm grumpy, I think. :) ), but having to race other people to claim something to fight, and to always fricking lose your monster to some damned non-magic person is a pain in the ass. (I stand back and cast at something before attacking with my weapon. That delay gives non-casters time to run up and hit it, thus claiming the monster and keeping me from it. Mutter.) Tomorrow during the day should be much much better.

On the subject of dying: Since my normal job (white mage) was ready to level, I could take a death without losing much XP. That means exploring time! I ran and ran and ran to wild new places. I got a few *really* nice screenshots to share, and I'll edit them after wading through the rest of my flist.

Grump, grump. (I'm rather grumpy today, I think.) I own too much stuff within the game. My mog safe is full, and I'm carrying nearly as much as I can. This makes killing monsters annoying, as they drop things and you have to carry those, too. There's an auction house where you can sell things, but only seven things at a time. For some really odd reason, though I price my stuff below the current selling prices, very little sells. Grump. I don't even want the money so much as the space! I've been giving stuff away to other people, just to make room for better stuff. (Things that won't sell for too much, like all of my fishing bait.)

I want to fish more, but 1) I hit the limit on how much I could raise my level in this area (9), and 2) I don't have room to hold more and the darned fish don't sell. Oh, and 3) I think the moon will be bad for it for a while. (I really like Windy and want to do more XP leveling up and exploring in this area, not go back to Sandy where the next level of fishing is.) I need to look up some cooking, alchemy, bone crafting, and other skill-FAQs before logging back on... I just wish I had a printer here at home so I could print them out and use them while on the game.

I'll stick up another post later with the screenshots. They're pretty.

AIM/MUSH folks: If I'm logged onto AIM, I'm contact_OK. I may or may not log onto the MUSH when not on FFXI, depending on how much time I have and how many other things I need to do. Miss you all!
