I hate this damned computer
Apr. 20th, 2004 01:40 pmSix hours. 11 DVDs. And Windows locked up.
All that time and DVDs (money): Wasted.
Half the damned day. Gone. For nothing.
I suppose I'll go through 11 DVDs and damned COUNT the file sizes of each of the directories, but if they're not complete (which they won't be), then what? Make a list of every single file on 11 DVDs and go copy the others by hand?
I hate this. I hate everything. Dammit.
To hell with it. I'm going to try to salvage this day and play FFXI for a while.

Date: 2004-04-20 02:41 pm (UTC)It might be worthwhile for you to just burn copies of all of your really necessary files (My Documents kind of stuff), then secondarily get the rest, stuff that you could stand losing or could retrieve again via BT or something. Seems like I tried all of once to back my stuff up using software and wasn't pleased with the results, but I've been quite satified with how I've done it since.
Alternatively, you could get a second hard drive and make a complete copy of your current one. It'd probably be cheaper than all the DVD-Rs you've been wasting.
