I came across this LJ by chance: [livejournal.com profile] spam_archive. It has only one friend, it doesn't look like it's meant for people-eyes, but I keep feeling like I should friend it. I don't understand it! What's its purpose? (I mean, why archive spam?) I'm resisting friending it because the rate of posting makes it look very spammy (ha ha).

What is this puzzle? Why do you tempt me so? What is your purpose, [livejournal.com profile] spam_archive?!?

"it doesn't look like it's meant for people-eyes" describes this journal very well. *chortle* In a way, the existence of journals like that makes me happy, because although I would be glad if everyone in the world had an LJ and used it, I already can't keep up, and this is one LJ that I know I don't need to friend. [livejournal.com profile] spam_archive is what it is, and although we may not know its purpose, the people who created it and use it have their reasons, and we can just trust that maintaining that gives them some sort of pleasure.

Heehee!

the people who created it and use it have their reasons, and we can just trust that maintaining that gives them some sort of pleasure.

That could be, yeah. But I also wonder if maybe it was made as a test of someone's coding abilities, and that person has forgotten about it. It could be archiving all this spam without anyone even remembeing it! Just running on its own, till the end of time...
