Midnight thoughts
Sep. 13th, 2002 09:39 amWhile trying and failing asleep last night, I realized why I dislike the puzzles in FFX: I'm playing the game for the story. I'm loving seeing the characters come together as a group, and (in the case of Tidus) mature somewhat. The puzzles take a lot of time and effort, and add zero to the story.
My Amazon box arrived yesterday, in it the guidebook and a remote control to make the PS2 into a better DVD player (or something like that). I made the mistake of taking the guidebook in to read before bed. Not only did I stay awake late reading it, but by the time I finally got up to the section I was at (I didn't want to read ahead), I wasn't sleepy at all. Tired yes, sleepy no. I turned off the light anyway and tossed and turned while listening to my cat prowl the dark apartment. I always figured she slept most of the night, but she's really rather active.
