Apparently "50 new LJ posts a day" is the new number, since I have 150 to read this morning (Friday, Saturday, Sunday). This is much much better than 100 new posts a day, but still too many. I don't think I can cut more though, so maybe this is where it'll stay.

For the first time since I got sick, I went walking this morning. Even though I didn't warm up nearly enough, it went well. Coughed only a little.

Work is hard today. I can't make myself start the crap that needs doing. Oh, I did/am doing the normal part of my job, but all the extra stuff they've been dumping on me hasn't been touched yet. Sigh.

The more I see of Teen Titans, the more I like it. It's become quite the little angstfest! I especially liked this weekend's ep, with Robin wondering about where the line between good and evil is. I'm also glad that I caught some older eps I missed (I had thought that Terra was Just Bad, but Slade twisted things and got her on his side unfairly! Heehee, he's such a great bad guy!)

Gonzo (a funky anime production company) is going to be making an OVA of GI Joe! How odd and interesting is that! I wonder if it'll be in the style of the show or if it'll be anime-ish or if it'll be some totally new style? Either way, it should be fun!


FFXI:

Big things happened this weekend, really big things. I accomplished the second of my three main goals in the game, and I've come into endless money.

We made a LS party on Saturday, and in it I hit level 36! Woo! I was finally able to teleport! Yay! While this would have been a much more helpful thing pre-airship pass, it's still cool as heck now. Thanks to gbeans for lending me the scrolls until I can quest for my own!

The endless money thing is odd. It's good to have as much money as I want, but... it takes a lot of the challenge out of the game. I made about 600K this weekend, and spent about 350K on crafting (one level in leather, ten in bonecrafting). As I no longer need to leathercraft for money, why should I continue it? Why level it? The same holds true for clothcrafting: Why level it up to the point of profitable items if I can make so much better money elsewhere? There's no point in me crafting anymore, so now what do I do?

The one exception to that: Goal #3 in the game is to get my shades, which means to finish leveling bonecrafting (need about five more levels) and to continue with the guild turn-in.

So... what does that leave? I like the "signed fishing gloves for all CTY fishers" idea, but after I get my shades that won't take too long. I do not want to quit the game at all, but I do need some sort of goal to work towards -- money will be meaningless if all I do is make piles of it and have nothing to spend it on.

Must think more about this...

I'm at the same point.. it's like 'So what now?'. I could throw money endlessly at Clothe with no purpose in mind other than to level it, or work on something else. Or should I just fish and make more gil than I can ever use and buy +1 of everything? :P

I really just don't know. Right now I'm getting the Clothe glasses. Already at 17k points, so that should take only another couple weeks or so. Maybe I should get Lu Shangs rod. Maybe I should level. 9.9;

You know, I've almost come down to that. The CoP areas look SOOOOOOO interesting! It'd be handy to be high enough level to expore them without, you know, being killed the first second I stepped into the zone.

I thought about more guild items too, but I can't wear anything else at the same time except the fishing boots, and I'm not really interested in those.

Maybe I should get Lu Shangs rod.

Does it catch caps better? :p I see no reason to catch fish anymore, since they're not worth as much!

And isn't it handy the price of light crystals keep falling and falling?

I want to level because I've been on the game since Nov 2003 and my highest class is 44. c.c I should get off my ass and at least do Genki 1. The problem is that I want to level with friends and we never seem to get anywhere. u.u Mostly due to lack of tanks and DD who have a clue. When we get good people we fly through XP, but our luck is always bad. ;o;

Yes, Lu's should catch caps better. n.n It will also catch things I want to catch other than caps. To me it will be worth it.

I wish I could help you guys on the party member! I'm back up in level range (or did you all level again? Are you 38 or is the Aurian-Al-Ead-you group the 44 job?), but I'm WHM. :)

If given the choice between partying with friends and leveling slowly vs partying with strangers and leveling at the speed of light, I'd pick the choice that you did. Dealing with strangers just isn't worth it!

We're the 37-38 group. Yesterday we sat for a couple of hours unable to find a tank. Damage dealers were plenty, but not one tank. ;o;

There is no one to blame over it all, but I am frustrated at not being able to level. Makes me wonder if we are cursed. I know we aren't bad at our jobs. c.c We mow through things when a competant tank shows, and Al is the bestest party leader as well as a great WHM. Aur hits so hard the tank has trouble keeping hate, and Ead is always on the ball with the right spells.

It's a great base for a group. o.o Great! ...yet we can't seem to get anywhere. c.c

It was like that. No mages and a zillion tanks. Now there are a million mages and no tanks. ;o;

Get your Bst up! We can party then! I made level 18 Bst last night. (I was goofing off too, taking easies and managed 2k xp. @.@)

I have a few goals to keep me busy:

* Get 60 in every craft (This is going to take forever in itself)

* Get DRG to 60 (I WANT that purple armor!)

* Get WHM to 40 (All teleports + Holy Breastplate)

* Get one job to 75. Any job. Probably DRG. I just want to be able to say I got 75. :3

* Get Rank 10 in Bastok, Sandoria, and Windurst (I want the three flags to hang in my MH. ^^

* Be a millionaire and -remain- one, not just a one-shot thing. (I wanna spoil my friends too!)

... So yeah, I have a couple things that will keep me busy for easily a year or more to come. I want the levels and the ranks because I want to see the whole story for myself. There's a history that's neat, but damnit, I want to see the cutscenes and everything *_* (Must have more Volker!)

I wish there was a way to see the story/cutscenes without dealing with leveling! I love the flag idea as well, but that's tied to leveling, too. *grump*
