I went grocery shipping yesterday, but somehow forgot to buy more oatmeal. I suck, and now I'm hungry, too. Bah.
I still haven't readjusted in FFXI world yet. Before I started spending most of my time fishing, what had I done? I know it wasn't leveling, which is what I'm doing now to fill the time...
While at first I was excited by all the coming CoP changes to the game, at this point I'm little but annoyed. Herds of idiots overspending for all the new items are killing the markets for other items. (Case in point: One evening there was not one single piece or stack of sheep leather for sale on the entire server! All because one of the new items apparently uses it!) Idiots. Idiots. Idiots. "OH IT'S NEW! I MUST HAVE IT NOW NOW NOW NOW!" "OH IT'S NEW! I MUST MAKE IT NOW NOW NOW TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE IDIOTS WHO WANT TO BUY IT NOW NOW NOW!". Grrr. The loss of caps has forced me into dealing with the market again, only to drop me into this mess? Grrr. I hate people so much. Just wait, you idiots. The prices will become stable. There is no need to snatch everything up THIS VERY SECOND!
I'm sorry to say, I don't turn down money for teleports anymore. That was a luxury I could do when I had endless money, but now that that's changed, I find myself charging. Would I still do a free one? Maybe. Probably. But more often than not, I charge. (What was 500g when I got 2000 off one single cap? But now 500 doesn't seem like nothing anymore...)
I hope I can recapture the fun and enjoyment of the game soon. I don't like logging on only to become grumpier/sadder/more annoyed. Look at it this way: I don't have to deal with money problems RL (thankfully), so why the hell would I want to go through them on a game? (No, I haven't burned through all my cap money yet, but sooner or later it will be gone.) I do not enjoy worrying that one day I won't have the money for this or for that, that I can't give money away or buy someone an expensive gift at the drop of a hat. That is not fun!
