Woo hoo hoo! (Lost, election stuff.)
Oct. 20th, 2004 10:46 amTonight is Lost night, and so I have more info for you all! Recall the French broadcasted message that Shannon was trying to translate? A French-speaking fan translated it!
If someone can hear this, they are dead. Please help us. I'll try to go to the black rock. He killed them. He killed them all.
Iteration 17294531
He is outside, please help us, please help us. He is outside (...) help us. They are dead.
Iteration 17294532
He is outside, he is outside and Brandon took the keys. Please help us. They are dead, they are all dead. Help us. They are dead. The flight crew believe they're still alive.
Iteration 17294533
They are all dead. Help us. They are dead (...)
Iteration 17294534
He is outside, please help us, please help us.
Iteration 17294535
If someone can hear this, I'll try to go to the black rock. Please help us. They are all dead. They are dead. He killed them. He killed them all. I'll try to go to the black rock.
Pretty interesting, huh? Eee! New ep tonight! :)
Edit: Someone else posted " 'Il' in French could also be translated as 'It' ", which seems a pretty big difference in all those quotes.
---
Amusing! Kids Pick Kerry to Be the Next President - "Democrat John Kerry is the winner, and the rest of the country should pay attention because the vote on Nickelodeon's Web site has correctly chosen the president of the United States in the past four elections."
---
Weight is still unchanged (GRRR). Skipped walking because it was so cold and rainy this morning. (Bad to skip, but it was too darned cold and wet!) I'm enjoying lifting weights a whole lot more than I am walking: It really feels like exercise! Plus it takes less time and I can do it inside. (And yes, I know muscle weights more than fat, but I highly doubt I'm putting on enough muscle fast enough to make a difference.)

Date: 2004-10-20 10:56 am (UTC)Veeeery interesting, especially since a friend of mine has this theory that all of the people on the island ARE dead right now, and only *think* that they're alive. Hrm. I love this show!!!! And yay for that wonderful person who translated the message!!!!

Date: 2004-10-20 11:01 am (UTC)1) The monsters are not dinosaurs.
2) The show is based in science or psuedo-science things, not supernatural or magical stuff.
So I guess it depends where "life after death" falls in all that!

Date: 2004-10-20 11:09 am (UTC)Seriously though, it's good for a chuckle anyway.

Date: 2004-10-20 11:41 am (UTC)Hm, T-virus reanimation would explain Mr. Locke.

Date: 2004-10-20 01:37 pm (UTC)Maybe the "he" that the woman was talking about was just 1 crazy man AND THAT'S HIM!!
I bet they won't find the tail section for a long time. That can be their excuse to bring in new cast members. Though a shipwrecked boat would work too...

Date: 2004-10-20 11:22 am (UTC)Black rock, eh? Guess we'll have to keep an eye out for a black rock. And I still say it's actually from the future. In which case who the hell is Brandon? And keys to what? So... let's look at it from the perspective that it is from the future that Shannon is the one speaking:
Locke's killed everyone. Someone named Brandon has the keys (to what). What made Locke so evil/bad? And what the hell is the black rock? I'll be interested in seeing what happens tonight - this is Jack's episode. Then Sun/Jin's. And then Charlie's. And then you Yanks have Thanksgiving and it goes to reruns for a while.
Looking forward to tonight!
You been reading my own analyses of the show's episodes? :)

Date: 2004-10-20 02:02 pm (UTC)While I don't think that that's a future them, it is an interesting idea! Why would she be speaking in French though, especially when she claims to suck so much at the language? (Which, based on her translation, doesn't seem so incorrect.)
Interesting idea about Locke! But (unless there's a virus infecting them all -- see one of the other comments to this post), I can't really see him killing everyone. (He's not a bad guy!) However, there's an exception to this: What if being on the island is what is allowing him use of his legs back? How badly would he want to be rescued then? And what would he do to stop the others from getting them rescued?

Yep! Been enjoying your thoughts on the eps! Thanks!

Date: 2004-10-20 03:35 pm (UTC)And like I said in my weird theory about Shannon being the one speaking french in the future - she'll have had years to perfect her french. Maybe it's Claire then? I dunno. It could have been Kate, too. Who the hell knows, I just know that it's going to be a great ride. :)

Date: 2004-10-20 01:28 pm (UTC)*laughs* That's the best plan I've heard so far! :) I may have to try it and see if it helps... if nothing else, I'll be happier for that day!

Date: 2004-10-20 12:12 pm (UTC)That message is even more creepy when translated. I'm dying to find out more. I don't know how I'm supposed to do this, every week, waiting for just one episode. I want to watch them all now. xD

Date: 2004-10-20 01:25 pm (UTC)I'm not sure if I hope Lost will only be one season long (and end on a high note), or if it'll last for seasons and perhaps go downhill...
*whine!* 6.5 more hours for me!

Isn't that cool? I'm glad Lost is showing up so many places!
