I can't believe how much happens in every single ep! The hour goes by so fast! And what a great hour this was. :)

So much happened, I have no idea where to start! How about a list? In no order at all:

1) I hate Boone so so so much. What an idiot! Yes, he is the ONLY person on Earth to own a copy of Watership Down, so yes, of course Sawyer found his bag. Sheesh. It's a popular book! And like Sawyer said, it could have just fallen out of the bag! But idiot pretty boy ASSUMED stuff, and Sawyer paid. Grrr.

2) Locke was kinda odd, wasn't he? It was like was trying to get Sawyer into trouble with Sayid. And then he gave him a knife? So the question is: Was Locke really assuming that Sawyer did it, or was he covering up that he himself did it, or was he stirring up trouble for some other reason?

3) Jack seems to get more boring every ep. I wish the writers had done what they intended to do: Kill him off in the first ep. (Some non-writer vetoed that, saying it was too much for the first ep on a TV show.) I find Kate to be pretty boring as well, so I just don't understand all the Jack/Kate folks out there. Sawyer/Kate is a tad more interesting, but still... *yawn*

4) (And under "signs I'm already too deeply into the Lost fandom") Stupid Charlie! Get away from that girl! Sure she's cute and hot and has a great accent, but you and Locke works so so so much better! Be friends with Claire at the very most, silly hobbit!

5) Charlie's comments to Hurley about having food hidden hurt. A lot. Could you imagine being the heaviest person on the island? Everyone would think you had food hidden or were having more than your share, you'd have to eat even less than everyone just to look like you weren't taking more...

5a) Hurley's "Jedi" comment had me grinning. He's such a geek! I love him! :)

6) Sawyer's whole background. Put that together with the torturing of him. (My god, have these people fallen to that level already? It makes me want to cry and throw up.) While he is an asshole, that's understandable. I really had hoped Sayid hadn't tortured people before, but I guess he had. But still, I can't believe he did it. How can one human do that to another?

7) Michael/Sun/Jin: I wonder what Michael would do if he knew what sort of man Jin is? I can see trouble coming... Sun really should be doing something to defuse the situation now, before Michael gets his neck broken by Jin.

8) Shannon is still worthless, and now more so. I wonder if her background ep will be able to turn things around and actually make us like her?

How can it be a week until the next ep?!?! Arg!

Since [livejournal.com profile] firebyrd likes the summons in FF so much, when I opened the summoner job last night, I took some screenshots for her.

Me first summon, a radioactive floating squirrel! After getting the ruby to start the quest (thanks to my static and the others who helped!), I ran around and got all the weathers (thanks to Niala for the teleport into the land of the snow, and Nim for the teleport into the land of heat), and (way past my bedtime) finished up the quest to open the job!

Rainbow Pride. Whenever a new summoner is made, a rainbow forms in the sky. This was mine!

Even though it was already way past my bedtime, once I was all done with the quest I switched jobs and tried summoning him and killing something, but it didn't go terribly well (even though it was just a bunny right outside the Sandy exit). I hadn't realized that either summoning him or keeping him out eats your MP, so in the middle of the battle he vanished (and I stood there for a moment, being hit and wondering where the heck he went). So I had to fight, but had no weapon... I ended up letting myself be killed for the fast ride back to my mog house.

I may or may not play the job a little in the future, but as I'm not too interested in magely jobs right now, probably not. But I'm glad I opened it anyway! :) And I'm very thankful for the time and patience everyone had in getting the rubies we needed.

Ruby hunting went so well last night. You guys really do have it easy, y'know ;) When it was just Nif, Sylf, and me it took us 4 hours for each Ruby 'cause we were level 30 with a small shell of about, oh, 8 people. Look at how everything has grown and how much more we get accomplished now!

*ahem* But yet, just having the rat out sucks up your MP and different ones suck at different rates. The elemental summons are MASSIVE MP gobblers that do next to nothing in terms of usefulness ^^;

Yeah, I do. :} And it's another reason I feel bad about so many people leveling faster than me: I'll be getting even more help from them, without being able to pay it back. I try to pay it back by helping people lower level than me on the LS, but 1) there aren't many people lower than me! and 2) it's not really helping the people who helped me.

Yeah. I remember doing this when it was just D, Aur, and me... eight hours for three rubies. But we got it done! And honestly, it was still fun, even though we got rather loopy by the end of it. XD However, this was before CTY, so it was pretty much the three of us to do that (save for the occasional help from friends), as well as getting the elements.

But don't worry about paying folks back (I'm pretty sure I can speak for D and Aur about that.). We did it because we wanted to help /you/, not to get any sort of return compensation. ^_^

Yeah, but I want to be able to help you guys, too! Because I like ya, not because I "have to". :)

Yeah, what she said!

Ergh. I think I finally need to learn how to use LiveJournal properly now. Since this won't be clear which "she" I mean, I bet. Oh well. I'll slack on it this time, and try to know next time. I hope that's okay.

Yep, I think I know what you meant!

The thing that stuns me (and I'm not sure I can explain it), but it seems like lower level players "grow up" faster than the higher level ones. There are *so many* people who started after I did, that I helped through various trials, and now have shot past me in levels. (I remember escorting Anoat, now lvl 65 RDM, to Jeuno to get his Chocobo!)

It's not really about level, and you'll "get your chance". Jobs change so much that a person's level is always shifting. B'sides, who else is going to supply me with Water Tanks? <.<;

(Though, at the rate I level MNK, your DRK will probably outshoot it too :)

I've not sold a single one, and only you and Nim have even asked for one (which is odd, since everyone and their brother asked for one on the LS...). So I have two left, and I can make more if needed. Just poke when you run out!

That's nutty since I've been using mine. (I'm curious to see what item it reverts back to when empty. I'm hoping the brass tank so I can ask you to refill it ^^ )

That'd be nice, but it's more likely to be the same as all of these rechargable items: It stays the same, just with no charges yet. But maybe it can be desynthed?

Yeah. Hopefully you can get it soon!

Hee, Carbuncle. Sounds like he's just as useless in XI as he was in all the other games he showed up in. He used to cast Reflect on all the party, and most of the time, that's not very helpful at all, except when fighting Bahamut. But of course, in the game that would be /most/ useful in, FFIV, Carbuncle doesn't exist. Doh!

He's the first summons you get, and you get him for "free" so yeah, he's not the most useful of the bunch. From the limited time I've seen others using him, he's not *totally* useless, but he's no where near as handy as the ones you actually need to work to to get.

Actually, the atomic rat is starting to come into its own with D. :o That lil SOB casts /Meteor/ for cripes sake. @_@ It was amusing the first time D used it.... everyone was 'Where the hell did that come from? :o' So while he's not big and bad as say, Ifrit or Shiva, he's certainly got some darn good abilities. n.n

Holy cow, that's where that came from? (I never made it to the other beach to see before I had to fall idle.) That's darned impressive!

Bah!

I like Boone for the sheer reason of having Jack have a sidekick.

Locke and Charlie should not be together. It doesn't work that way. They're both very much heterosexual. And besides which, I squee every time I see Charlie and Claire together. Damn right she's hot!

And Jack isn't getting boring. He's a hero with issues, he's pessimistic. I think that makes him layered as a character and way more interesting.

{Hello!}

Stumbled over your LJ looking for a flash video relating to FFXI, and saw that FFA+ from months ago. Thought I'd say hello. ^^

I was just curious, what server do you and all play on? Most likely not the same as me, but that's to be figured with how many there are. ^^

It's nice to meet you as well. ^-^
